Why We Built This Site
Public access in Indiana still requires knowing which source serves which purpose. The Fayette County Clerk maintains the filings and official records for Fayette Circuit Court and Fayette Superior Court. Those courts set hearings, issue orders, and enter results. Indiana MyCase provides the public search layer for participating Odyssey cases, but it is not the official record. Bringing the local contacts, case-number conventions, search route, and request steps together makes those roles easier to distinguish.
What You Will Find Here
- Case lookups: steps for a case lookup by name, business, attorney, citation, or case number
- Record requests: routes for obtaining court records, plain copies, and certified copies from the clerk
- Docket guides: local detail on reading criminal dockets and civil dockets
- Court settings: ways to find and confirm Fayette County court dates
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference site, not part of an Indiana court, clerk's office, or state agency. Its limits include the following:
- We do not issue certified copies of dockets, orders, or other court documents
- We cannot alter, seal, remove, or amend a case record
- We cannot obtain an official docket sheet or case file on a visitor's behalf
- We do not set, reset, continue, or cancel court hearings
- We cannot provide legal advice about a particular matter
- We cannot promise that a listed fee, contact detail, or court setting remains current
An official or certified docket or court record must come from the Fayette County Clerk or the court that holds the file. This resource can identify that office but cannot issue the document.
Search Partners
Outside providers operate the search boxes found on some pages. Each provider controls its results, service terms, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee that supports free access to this reference site. We have no control over the provider's charges or returned information.
